Cataract
Any opacity of the crystalline lens orlens capsule of the eye. Lenticular c, anopacity of the lens proper. Capsular c. an opacity of the lens capsule. Senile c, an opacityof the lens due to age.. Traumatic c, a catar-act due to an injury. Pyramidal c, an opacityin the center, yet at the anterior pole, of thelens. Secondary c, a cataract appearing afterthe extraction of the lens, caused by that partof the lens capsule still attached to the hyaloidmembrane becoming opaque. Cortical c, thatcondition in which the border or outer layers ofthe lens are losing their transparency. Hard c. (See Senile c). Soft c, where the lens is softand milky. Polar c, an opacity confined to theanterior or posterior pole of the lens.
